It took 20 years, but we finally have a worthy successor inYoshis Woolly World.

And Nintendo already toyed with a similar fabric aesthetic five years ago withKirbys Epic Yarn.

Its almost impossible not to smile while playing the game.

The attention to detail on Yoshis animations alone is staggering.

It all combines to form the most charming visual aesthetic since… well,Yoshis Islands.

It doesnt stray from the gameplay of the original at all.

And if you simply rush through stages, its a relatively breezy ride.

But the same was true ofYoshis Island, and the challenge comes from gathering all of the numerous collectibles.

And dont even get me started on the yarn Yoshi amiibo that comes bundled with the game.

If anything, there arent enough of these, as many are one and done.
