Exclusive photos, details of upcoming Amazon series starring Miley Cyrus
Woody Allens first-ever TV series has been more mysterious than any J.J. Abrams project.
But now EW has the first photos from the show (below) and some new story details that pull back its curtain of secrecy.
Heres what we managed to find out about Amazon StudiosCrisis in Six Scenes, the iconic filmmakers six-episode half-hour comedy set in the 1960s:Crisisfocuses on a traditional suburban New York couple (Allen and Elaine May), their friend-of-the-family houseguest (John Magaro) and his fiancee (Rachel Brosnahan) who have their conservative beliefs challenged by a young hippie (Miley Cyrus) whos caught up in the 60s movement and inspired by radical communist leaders.

Its basically the story of people with very different backgrounds and ideas crossing paths and how someone can come in and make you question everything youre doing.
The tone is described as humorous (with plenty of physical comedy), with a heavy amount of improvised dialogue.
Were hearing the series also has a self-contained storyline with a clear beginning, middle, and end and Allen has previously declared he will not make a second season.

Amazon spent nearly two years wooing Allen for the project, paying him areported $15 millonand giving him complete creative freedom to make whatever story he wanted to tell.
The filmmaker hasnt worked in the TV medium since he wrote for Sid Caesar in the 1950s.Crisisbegins streaming on Sept. 30 on Amazon.
