Regular Fox News viewers will be getting a change Monday night.
For the first time in years, the 9 p.m. (She moved to NBC.)

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So whatll your show look like in the new timeslot?
I dont think weve settled on them, probably mostly having to do with booking.
Youll be placed in betweenThe OReilly FactorandHannity, two programs that have been on Fox for a long time.

What would you say that your show provides that theirs dont?
How will yours kind of stand out in between theirs?I dont know.
They give you almost complete editorial freedom.
So, my diet has just been what I want to watch.
Well, youve worked at various cable news networks.
I really enjoyed my time at CNN.
I liked the people I worked with a lot.
But they were really nice to me, so, I mean, I dont have any complaints anywhere.
But the differences are pretty obvious, you know?
At Fox, there is no editorial interference, at least with me.
And thats not true at all the networks.
You know, it doesnt wreck your life or anything, but its annoying.
They really are, from the cameramen to the lighting guys to the other anchors to all the producers.
I mean, theyre just nice.
Its the culture of it, and I like that.
Im older now, Im not interested in fighting with people at all.
So, it suits me that way.
And about the people running.
I dont have a specific pitch.
TV is a pretty small-D democratic medium.
You like it or you dont.
If people dont like it, they dont watch.
You know immediately what people like, and theyre not under obligation to watch your show.
There are a lot of other offerings out there, and so you find out the first week.
You find out if people like it or not.
Thats the beauty of television, theres no guessing.
Theyre going to render judgment immediately.
So, ask me a week in, and well both know whether people like me or not.
[Laughs]
Well, to that end, the ratings for your current show have grown impressively.
Youve hosted various shows before at many networks why is this one connecting?
I work at Fox.
Thats 99 percent of it right there.
Its the preeminent news channel, so Im not pretending I have some special magic.
Probably the biggest participant to book right now would be President-elect Donald Trump.
I think on television hes a harder interview.
Im not sure I understand all of them, but Im just being honest with you.
I havent, so, you know, so, thats where we are.
Do you plan to amend that?Yeah.
I think Trump is interesting, but I also think weve talked a lot about Trump.
Probably the most notorious moment from your show so has beenthe segment withTeen Vogues Lauren Duca.
That got quite a reaction online, a lot of it negative.
But you must haveNo, I really didnt.
Because Im a happy person, and I dont want to change that.
So you havent heard about the reaction to it all?
I guess that means you havent spoken to her since then.Yeah, Im on…no.
I do remember that.
But you know, weve got a five-day-a-week show that will definitely absorb your time.
So I dont wallow a lot in past segments.
Can viewers expect more of these sorts of confrontational interviews on your 9 p.m. show? For sure.
I like people, but I dont want to have a vigorous agreement.
Thats not very interesting.
Thats the model for a lot of television, and I just dont find it compelling.
I want to hear views that I disagree with, because Im interested.
And by the way, Im won over sometimes.
Im not for it because someone won me over.
So, Im genuinely interested in hearing what the point is, and whats the perspective.
I live in a city wherefour percentof people in D.C. voted for Donald Trump.
And I dont take it personally.
I want to hear it, you know?
I read liberal magazines every single day.
So, Im not afraid of that at all.
I mean, its like wearing a middle finger around your neck.
People cant even hear what you say, they dislike you so much.
Im going to give them a chance to hear me speak first.
