And that is where Rayna Cruzs origin story starts: with the love for her father.

She hopes to be in the brotherhood someday and wants to learn how to fight.
Raynas father doesnt let her go with him to fight, but later she goes to see whats happened.
Thats when she finds Julian about to kill her father.
As she tries to fight the compulsion, Rayna cries and tells her father she cant stop.
Carry on my legacy, he tells her before dying from her stab to the chest.
Seven of them take their own lives so that they may live on through her.
And in 1903 England, we see that in action.
when the huntress finds them and runs her blade through Beaus throat.
Julian is able to knock Rayna out before they all flee.
She stabs Julian with her special sword, which sucks his soul into the Phoenix Stone.
Rayna is pretty bad-ass, and she proves that in the future, too.
Shes still in Enzos glass box, which she attempts to punch her way out of.
He tries to tell her shes going to hurt herself when she shatters the whole thing.
The huntress is loose.
And she wants her sword back.
Damon, its me Im your best friend, she says.
Also, where is Tyler?
Why didnt he give anyone a heads up about what happened??
Damon asks her to leave it alone, but she gives him the sword anyway.
They take it to Alarics old classroom, where they find Enzo tied to a chair.
Next thing they know, Rayna is there, demanding her sword.
When they say no, she shoots Bonnie in the stomach with an arrow.
This woman is not very patient.
So Damon throws the sword out the window for her to go retrieve.
I dont think they want to be born, Valerie says, as I die laughing.
Those babies want to stay connected to Carolines sweet vampire blood apparently.
So she calls on her heretic friends to help.
he asks Stefan on the phone.
But Stefan swears hell see to it nothing happens to the babies or Caroline.
Bonnie tries to say it wasnt intentional, but Nora doesnt care how it happened.
This means that Rayna will never stop coming for them until theyre dead.
At that moment Rick arrives to see his babies births, so Stefan reluctantly goes.
Ill see you brother, he says before fleeing.
Caroline gives birth to Alaric and Jos beautiful baby girls.
Hes ready to end him when Enzo shouts out what we all knew/suspected: Elena is alive.
It turns out that Tyler has been working with whatever group Enzo is mixed up in.
The coffin Damon burned up was empty; the real Elena coffin is safe and sound in New York.
Damon calls his brother to give him the good news, but even that cant cheer up Stefan.
Hes not having the best day.
We know thats true in the future and we know that Rayna catches up with Stefan.
