‘Exile on Main Street’ is set to begin shooting later this year
The search is on for actors who can play late-20s versions of Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, asDownton Abbeyhelmer Andy Goddard is set to direct the upcoming biopicExile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with The Rolling Stones, EW can confirm.
Deadlinefirst reported Monday that the project will be a feature-length adaptation of Robert Greenfields book of the same name that recounts the events surrounding the summer of 1971, when The Rolling Stones spent weeks in almost total isolation in the South of France while recordingExile on Main St.
Writers Brandon and Philip Murphy are penning the screenplay for the film, which is being produced by The Gotham Group, City Entertainment, Virgin Produced, and KippSter Entertainment.

According to a source close to the production, the search for actors to play young versions of Richards and Jagger is currently underway.
BAFTA Award-nominee Goddard, whose recent credits includeA Kind of Murder,which premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival in March, andSet Fire to the Stars, also directed the sixth episode of the second season of NetflixsDaredevilearlier this year.
A release date forExile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with The Rolling Stoneshas not yet been confirmed, though the film reportedly begins shooting this winter.
