WhenThe Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HDhits the Wii U, it will come with a few upgrades and updates aside from the titular high-definition visual bump to make Links journey more fun, and challenging, to play.
Nintendo announced today thatTwilight Princesswill include Hero Mode, which is essentially a new, harder difficulty level for the game.
If players choose to play the adventure in this mode, Link will take double the damage he normally does, while hearts will not drop to restore Links health and the games currency, among other changes.

No matter what difficulty players choose, the game will also introduce a new item, the Ghost Lantern, which will be used to make the Poe soul-retrieving mission easier to complete.
This addition mirrors that of the Swift Sails inclusion inThe Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, which made facets of that game achievable in less times, as many that players found certain quests more tedious in its original incarnation.
Nintendo promises there are other updates to discover along the way of jumping into the game, which originally debuted in the Wii and Gamecube.Twilight Princess HDwill support amiibo integration, including the new Wolf Link amiibo that comes bundled with the games physical release.
