She joins Ezra Miller in the Warner Bros. superhero flick
Warner Bros. superhero movieThe Flashis picking up speed with the addition of Kiersey Clemons.
The 22-year-old actress and singer, best known for her role as Diggy in the coming-of-age dramedyDope, has closed a deal to play the female lead in the DC Comics adaptation, EW has learned.
Clemons will star opposite Ezra Miller, who is set to play the Scarlet Speedster and his civilian counterpart, Barry Allen.

Miller made his debut as the Flash with a cameo inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and hes also on board forJustice League, which justunveiled its first trailerat Comic-Con.
The Flashwill mark a reunion between Clemons andDopedirector Rick Famuyiwa, whotook over the WB projectafterSeth Grahame-Smith exitedover creative differences.
Grahame-Smiths screenplay will still be used for the film, which is expected to start shooting sometime this year.The Flashis scheduled to arrive March 16, 2018.
Clemons was recently seen inNeighbors 2: Sorority Rising, and her other upcoming film projects include SonysFlatlinersreboot and the indie comedyLittle Bitches.
