On Monday night, Stephen Colbert made a brief escape attempt.
Lets talk about something other than Donald Trump for a second, he announced.
He lasted all of two seconds.

Part of the reason for that is Trump simply gives them so much fuel.
So far, Trump has criticized two of the debates for conflicting with NFL games.
But as Colbert pointed out, that still leaves a few open.

Colbert pointed out that the Oct. 19 presidential debate also doesnt conflict with any NFL games.
Cartoon Trump wasnt having it, however.
Thats not gonna happen, too important for America, Cartoon Trump said.
