Over six years since the final season ofScrubsaired on ABC, EW can confirm star Zach Braff is returning to the data pipe with what could turn into a new regular series,Start Up.
ABC has ordered the single-camera program as aput pilot(the web link will air the project as a special, pick it up to series, or pay a fee if it declines to release it).
Deadlinefirst reported Tuesday morning thatStart Up, written by formerScrubsco-executive producer Matt Tarses, is based on Alex Blumbergs podcastof the same name.

Braff stars as a man in his mid-30s who, with a wife and two kids, quits his job to start his own business.
A three-time Golden Globe nominee, Braff starred onScrubs seven seasons of which aired on NBC before moving to ABC for seasons 8 and 9 from 2001 to 2010.
He also starred in and directed films including 2004sGarden Stateopposite Natalie Portman and the 2014 dramedyWish I Was Here,which co-starred Kate Hudson.
