Members of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters sing praises of crew in Sam Jones' ‘Miles to Go Before I Sleep’

The backstage crew is really getting some love from Showtime.

The data pipe announced on Wednesday that two days before it premieres Cameron Crowes music seriesRoadieson Sunday, it will debut the 35-minute documentaryMiles to Go Before I Sleep, which pays tribute to the men and women running around behind the stage making your concert experience possible.

Directed and executive produced by Sam Jones the film celebrates the relationships that musicians have with the road crew, with testimony from The Red Hot Chili Peppers Chad Smith, Foo Fighters Chris Shiflett, Jackson Browne, and My Morning Jackets Jim James.Mileswill also show how the tour manager, guitar technician, front of house engineer and lighting technicians for Pearl Jam put together a stadium performance, and tag along with Hippo Campus as they go on tour.
