ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: This is the fourth go-round.

ANTHONY C. FERRANTE:We come in with a lot of ideas of what we want to do.

Then, whats happening with Fin and his family?

Thats always the core.

Once you figure that out, its like, how do we shake things up?

Then nature finds a way, so if you dont have water based tornadoes, what do you have?

You have sandnado, oilnado, firenado, nukenado, and cownado.

As it developed, we knew Vegas was going to happen.

You mentioned the Twitter contest to decide Aprils fate.

What stands out to you about that experience, and can you tease Aprils return?

I didnt think that was going to happen because people love these characters and people really do love Tara.

It was unanimous that she should live, but we didnt know what the marketing was going to be.

[In]Sharknado 2, she got her hand bitten off.

She was in the hospital.

She got to do a little bit.

She goes toe-to-toe and becomes an equal to Fin in this movie, and that is so great.

That scene where shes pulling the grip truck with a rope, we didnt have the car on.

Well, apparently, they werent pushing very hard.

Tara was really [pulling] that truck.

Little Tara, pulling that damn thing.

I affectionately called the character Swiss Army April in this movie.

Can you hint at the most outlandish cameo death?

Some people want to live, some people want to die.

Carrot Top dying is pretty funny.

He committed to it.

Thats not giving anything away.

Theyve shown it in the trailer.

How did you want to integrateStar WarsintoSharknado4?

We did last year with the lightsaber chainsaw in space.

We knew we needed to get at least some actors associated withStar Wars.

The beginning definitely has aStar Warsvibe to it, but we didnt want to be too heavy-handed with it.

Were there other movies or shows that you thought about bringing intoSharknado 4?

If so, were there other titles that you considered that would integrate those works?

Syfy came to us and said, We want to call itThe 4th Awakens.

It was the only title.

I grew up on [and] loveStar Wars, like everybody else.Star Warsmeant so much to me.

Thats bucket list, amazing, fun.

What is the chance ofSharknado 5, and do you have anything in mind for that?

It really comes down to the ratings.

If the ratings are good, Syfy will order another one.

Then its a matter of, how do we assemble the team?

Ive seen it three times.

It made me happy.

With the fans we have and everything, its transcended just being a novelty.

Why do you think people are playing Pokemon Go?

We need a relief.

You dont have to spend $100 in a theater to see it.

Its great entertainment, and its kid friendly.

Aside from the fact that people get their limbs ripped off, its moreMonty Pythonthan anything.

At its core, its a family values, action-adventure, shark-killing crazy movie, and theres no rules.

You go, Well okay, theyre going to probably get that.

Theyre going to do that.

Why isnt that a bigger deal?

We get away with murder on these movies, so thats the cool part about it.
