Artist and writer Juman Malouf has brought plenty of whimsical worlds to the screen, working as a set and costume designer on Wes Anderson films likeThe Grand Budapest HotelandMoonrise Kingdom.
But her debut novel,The Trilogy of Two(out Nov. 10), is the first time shes created a world of her own with words and illustrations.
Identical twins Charlotte and Sonja were found as babies on a doorstep: Now, they live and work in a traveling circus, playing beautiful music.

But lately, somethings been going on when they get lost in their playing: Rain clouds appear under the circus tent, soaking the audience.
Hundreds of chairs holding crowd members will float into the sky, only to come crashing down when the music stops.
As the twins venture to figure out how to control this new magic, they realize they need to find out where it comes from and wheretheycome from.
