Frank’s a little different from the other hot dogs.

He longs for proof or evidence of their belief system.

He has the layers of illusion peeled away.

Frank the Sausage, voiced by Seth Rogen

Sony Pictures

He starts a deep believer who just has some nagging suspicions basically.

But I think by the end of the movie, he’s much more agnostic.

Rogen:He encompasses the whole-hearted belief-system.

Carl the Hot Dog, voiced by Jonah Hill

Sony Pictures

He’s a little hornier.

He’s very bun-focused.

He’s not ultimately the best friend to him in the end.

Barry the Hot Dog, voiced by MIchael Cera

Sony Pictures

Goldberg:We always knew Jonah would be one of the main characters.

We composed [the idea forSausage Party] with Jonah.

It was inevitable he would be somebody.

Brenda the hot dog bun, voiced by Kristen Wiig

Sony Pictures

It brought back some fun nostalgic memories from our days onSuperbad.

EW:Does Sausage Party share a cinematic universe withSuperbad?

Goldberg:No, it doesn’t.

Lavash, voiced by David Krumholtz

Sony Pictures

But me and Michael [Cera] realized it could share a cinematic universe withThis Is The End.

I think they learn a lot.

He and Lavash clash the whole way, because they do not believe than can co-exist and get along.

Sammy Bagel, Jr., voiced by Edward Norton

Sony Pictures

Edward is a good friend of ours.

When we told him about this project, he flipped and became obsessed with it.

He was a huge champion for the project.

Teresa the Taco, voiced by Salma Hayek

Sony Pictures

We didn’t know Salma Hayek very well, he badgered her to do it.

Goldberg:Much to our complete amazement, she said yes!

Teresa’s someone they pick up on their journey.

Potato, voiced by director Greg Tiernan

Sony Pictures

You guys are dealing with some heavy topics here.

People are going to walk away with a lot of food for thought.

I did not mean to say that.

Gum, voiced by Scott Underwood

Sony Pictures

Goldberg:This is a launch for the next movie, where we start a religion.

Rogen:We’re L-ronning it all the way to the bank!

Potato, voiced by director Greg Tiernan

Rogen:He is a potato.

Gum is the most intelligent being alive.

It would be a lot like that movie with Eddie Redmayne.
