Director and producing mogul Brett Ratner says film critic aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes is a destructive force in Hollywood.

When I was growing up film criticism was a real art.
And there was intellect that went into that.
And you would read Paulines Kaels reviews, or some others, and that doesnt exist anymore.
Now its about a number.
A compounded number of how many positives vs. negatives.
Now its about, Whats your Rotten Tomatoes score?
People dont realize what goes into making a movie like that, Ratner continued.
Its just insane, its hurting the business, its getting people to not see a movie.
Ive seen some great movies with really abysmal Rotten Tomatoes scores.
Whats sad is film criticism has disappeared.
The director also revealed that aRush Hour 4could be in the works.
I think it will happen; were talking to writers, he said.
We could call itGrumpy Old Rush Hour.
