Ricky Gervais isnt backing down from criticism thata joke he toldat Sunday nights Golden Globes was transphobic.
During his monologue, Gervais mocked Jenner, who came out as transgender last year.

Ive changed not as much as Bruce Jenner.
Now Caitlyn Jenner, of course, Gervais said on Sunday night.
What a year shes had!
She didnt do a lot for women drivers.
But you cant have everything, can ya?
Not at the same time.
(A car accidentinvolving Jenner last February left one woman dead.)
Gervais also took aim at Jeffrey Tambor, who plays a trans woman onTransparent.
So thats an offer I couldnt refuse.

At least Jeffrey Tambor did it in a dress.
On Tuesday, Gervais wrote that people have every right to be offended by his material.
Just dont cry when no one cares, he added.
Now THATS when youre allowed to be offended.
