The Great White Way is coming to a couch near you, thanks to Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley.
The acclaimed Broadway producers, whose numerous accolades include a 2014 Tony for Best Musical forA Gentlemans Guide to Love and Murderand a 2011 Tony for Best Play forWar Horse, have debutedBroadwayHD: a brand new service that will allow theater fans to stream their favorite plays and musicals from the comfort of their own homes.
The service is the first and only service to allow Broadway content to be streamed similar to the way we enjoy movies and television.

We will always be live theatre lovers first, so we acted quickly when we saw an unmet opportunity to expand the reach of theatre to those that cant experience it or want to keep experiencing it over and over, said Lane in a press statement.
Given advances in streaming technology and the increasing trend of readily available content, we knew that a digital platform that allowed people to experience a theatrical show a medium that historically is not available beyond the stage would be monumental.
Nothing will ever replace the magic of live theatre, but we passionately believe that Broadway and all forms of professional theatre should be more accessible to all, no matter location, added Comley.
Currently BroadwayHD offers viewers an immersion into some of the timeless classics of Broadway, West End and other professional productions.
Its our vision that one day every play, musical and alternative performance that comes to a professional stage will be captured for people to continue to experience the magic for years to come.
BroadwayHD will include a library of more than 100 shows to satisfy Broadway fans of everything from Shakespeare to todays hit musicals, including recent dramatic performances ofMemphis, Jekyll & Hyde The Musical,as well as content from Londons West End, such asHenry IV, Midsummer Nights Dream, Much Ado About Nothing.
The new platform is available through all mobile devices, as well as Google Chromecast and AppleTV, and can be enjoyed as a monthly subscription with unlimited access that includes perks such as behind-the-scenes content, or as a one-time rental for a show of choice.
