NBC has given a series order to the fourth installment in Dick WolfsChicagofranchise,Chicago Justice, EW has learned.
For those who may have missed thebackdoor pilotthat aired on Wednesday night duringChicago P.D., heres whatChicago Justiceis about, per NBC: Just like their brethren in the Chicago P.D., the States Attorneys dedicated team of prosecutors and investigators navigates heated city politics and controversy head-on while fearlessly pursuing justice.
As they take on the citys high stakes and often media-frenzied cases, they must balance public opinion, power struggles within the system and their unwavering passion for the law.

The backdoor pilot for the series which joins the ranks ofChicago Fire,Chicago P.D., andChicago Med drew 6.8 million total viewers and a 1.4 in the 18-49 demo, up 7 percent and 8 percent over last week, respectively.
Wolf will executive-produce the series alongside Peter Jankowski, Matt Olmstead, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, and Arthur Forney.
As introduced during the backdoor pilot, the series will star Philip Winchester, Carl Weathers, Nazneen Contractor, Joelle Carter, and Ryan-James Hatanaka.
