He made himself famous playing a leprechaun, though he wasnt in any way Irish.

At age 12, Anderson landed a role in the radio showTony and Gusin 1935.

The actor went on to appear opposite Orson Welles on both radio and Broadway.

In 2005,Anderson told ABC Newsthat his role as the famed leprechaun never led to any free cereal.

Anderson is survived by his daughter, Amy Anderson.
