Legendary Master of Horror John Carpenter will executive produce a new movie in theHalloweenseries.
Miramax and Blumhouse Productions are co-financing development and production of the project.
The new movie will be the firstHalloweenfilm since 2009sHalloween II, director Rob Zombies sequel to his 2007 remake.
