What can you tell us about what happens?

ANDREA NAVEDO:It’s a Christmas episode, so there’s a lot about family.

For me, that’s the best part of the show that endearing relationship between the Villanueva women.

That family dynamic is wonderful.

But of course, things go wrong.

[Laughs] There’s a scene where Jane tells Santa off.

She gets into a fight with Santa Clause.

Christmas is going to be a blast with baby Mateo in the mix.

What kind of Christmas traditions will we see take place in this episode?

We have one related to the ornament we put Christmas tree.

Well, the Christmas tradition I just mentioned rekindles something between Jane and Michael.

Does it have anything to do with Rafael paying someone to rat on Michael?

It definitely has something to do with that.

You know, there’s some shady business going on and Jane is not having it.

How does Xo feel about that?

Mom’s stance is that she’ll support whatever Jane wants.

He’s still the same, egocentric guy.

Word is he hires an intern in the midseason finale why in the world does he need an intern?

It’s an unpaid intern, who helps him find his next passion project.

That’s what the intern ends up doing.

Does this unpaid intern happen to be a hot girl in high heels?

it’s a guy.

[Laughs] In real life, he happens to be a good friend of Gina’s.

That’s not why he got the role, he deserved it.

You’ll see why he was cast, but he happens to be a good friend.

Like her take on whatever the moment is, is always amazing.

I can’t think of anything specific, but she’s always great.

I’m really excited for her, and I sent hera tweetcongratulating her.

What do you think?

Of course, I feel the show should have been nominated.

We work really, really hard.

It’s a great ensemble.

All the moving parts are really important.

But I think Gina getting the nomination is a win for the show to begin with.

It’s a beautiful thing.

There’s so much TV content and only so many shows they [the HFPA] can pick.

The fact we were nominated last year was great, it was a fairy tale come true.

I feel like we got nominated again this year, but through Gina.
