We even made a point to have Clive mention that the dog was found.
Apparently it wasnt enough, and fans took to social media to register their displeasure.

Did Thomas anticipate viewers might turn on Major?
I thought: Are you kidding me?
They werent, and audiences reacted the same way.
Im a dog person.
I have a dog.
I love dogs, Thomas says.
We need to see the dog in a happy home.
And Im like, Were not going to shoot a scene with the dog being pet.
Apparently I was wrong.
A happy person holding the dog probably wouldve avoided this.
The happy ending we will get: Our favorite fuzzy friend will return.
Minor is still due a major moment.
Its not the last we hear of Minor.
That storyline does come back, says Thomas.
And the audience will get more information on the dog moving forward.
