Meredith finds out why Owen and Riggs hate each other.

It didnt feel like it when Jo yelled at Karev for always choosing Meredith over her.

And it didnt even feel like it when Meredith and Amelia had a screaming match in the hospital hallways.
But that last moment?
Then, conveniently, Owens mom showed up.
Turns out that her boyfriend was in the fire, and shes coming to check on him.
And guess who greets her with a warm hug?
And that pisses Amelia off.
Amelia goes on to yell at Meredith about how shes loyal to everyonebuther, her own sister.
Thats when Meredith gets harsh: You are not my sister, she says.
Cristina is my sister.
You are Dereks sister.
Tell us how you really feel, Mer.
This upsets Amelia, who responds by saying Derek would be disgusted if he saw Meredith now.
Its about time: These two were never going to get along, and forcing them together is pointless.
At least give them some more time to grieve before sticking them in aReal World-style living situation.
Its not like we can even say, Maybe she doesnt drink it!
because we see her take a satisfied sip from the glass.
Wheres an impromptu AA meeting when you need one?
That doesnt explain much, but it does give another hint about Owen and Riggs messed-up past.
Shes tired of him prioritizing Meredith, and shes tired of being everyones second choice in general.
Plus, Grey is going through something terrible.
That is not what happens.
Instead, Karev proposes.
We dont get to find out what that answer is, though.
Karev and Jo, on the other hand, dont really have serious problems.
Theyre comfortable; theyre familiar in other words, theyre closest to a real-life, healthy relationship.
But no one watchesGreys Anatomyto see real-life, healthy relationships.
They watch for intense, dramatic, epic love stories.
On that note, Jackson and April end the episode by arguing about their relationship outside the hospital.
Jackson says their sex was confusing while April says it was amazing.
Apparently, Jackson has one: April screams at him to just say it!
as he pauses and smiles.
And thats the last we see of them.
Judging by Jacksons close-mouthed smile, thats whats going to happen anyway.
