Admitting there were multiple possible endings, Peele detailed the reason he almost veered in a different direction.
That was the whole idea, he shared.
People were saying, like, Weve got Obama so racism is over, lets not talk about it.
Thats what the movie was meant to address.
Okay, but look, you recognize this interaction.
These are all clues, if you dont already know, that racism isnt over.
Well at the end, we all know this is how this movie would end right here.
The fact that that rings true is the point of the film.
Theres nothing more satisfying than seeing the audience go crazy when Rod shows up.
