HBO makes it official: Emmy favorite to return later with shortened 7th season
Summer is coming.
HBO is officially confirming some major changes forGame of Thrones.
Plus, HBO added that the next season will be shot in Northern Ireland, Spain, and Iceland.

Now that winter has arrived onGame of Thrones, executive producers David Benioff and D.B.
Instead of the shows traditional spring debut, were moving the debut to summer to accommodate the shooting schedule.
(Usually the show begins production in July).
