Dave Grohls party stories arewaybetter than your party stories.
Case in point: The episode he recounted during a solo performance Wednesday night at the Cannes Lions festival.
But Grohls mood quickly turned when those same guests asked him to play a song of his own.

Well, I dont know how to play piano.
Like, I dont know what to do, man!
I cant play fing piano!
Grohl said he remembered thinking.
And then I look around and Paul McCartneys left-handed, so all the guitars are left-handed.
God, Im screwed!
What do I do?
And also, Id maybe smoked a little pot, so…
I was already challenged enough.
Thats when Grohl says Swift intervened: Shes like, Ill play a song!
Its like, Oh, thank god.
Like fing Batman when you need him.'
Im just trying to figure out how to play along to what shes doing, Grohl recalled.
It was kind of like one of those nightmares where youre running backwards.
And as if I werent high enough, that fing blew me into outer space, man!
Then, of course, he launched into his own rendition of Best of You for the Cannes crowd.
