But the real Dalai Lama, who has never seen nor heard ofCaddyshack, was perplexed by Baiers question.
The anchor followed up by asking if he ever played golf, which only enhanced the awkwardness.
On Twitter, Baier commented on the interaction, writing Had to give it a shot.
If he had said goongahlahgoongahlah I wouldve fallen out of the chair.
