With the building he was in suddenly exploding, is Andrew really dead?

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Is Andrew actually dead?
MING-NA WEN:Oh wow.
I cant answer that.
Will what happened to Andrew bring May back into the S.H.I.E.L.D.
family it definitely makes her have to come back.
She doesnt really have a choice.
Even though shes working on the outskirts with Hunter, shes back.
May clearly loves Andrew still.
If he does survive, is there a chance for them?
A lot of people, including my kids, thought that May left Andrew.
What she tells Hunter is that it was the opposite.
If he did make that decision to leave her, the chances might be slim.
May mentioned that Andrew was scared of what he saw when they tried to find lives outside of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Can you expand on what kind of person she is outside of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
Could she just not let things go?
She hasnt fully resolved her past.
Its just one of those things where shes going to be tied into it forever.
How do you think May has changed from the first two seasons?
Shes definitely become stronger in a different way.
Before, she really worked hard at not dealing with any of her emotions.
Hunter basically sacrificed Andrew, so how will May feel toward him now?
She never really liked him that much.
[Laughs] She got a joy out of seeing him get beaten up a little bit.
Hes like that annoying brother.
Theres always going to be a level of distrust within her, because Hunter is too emotional.
Thats something that I dont think Agent May admires.
Of course, what he did in this episode certainly doesnt win him any brownie points.
Hes still like, Whatever, bitch.
[Laughs] And then he doesnt get Ward.
Thats the worst part!
He at least shot Ward.
OK, well give him that.
[Laughs]
Will May now set her sights on getting vengeance on Ward?
Thats S.H.I.E.L.D.s ultimate mission, to not have Hydra be born again.
Theres definitely a desire to put him down.
Ward actually seemed scared seeing that May was there.
Do you think thats true?
I think Ward knows what May is capable of.
Its definitely a concern, and yet a major thrill for him.
If he can eliminate May, then he feels, above all else, that he can accomplish anything.
Will they get any help from Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki) at all?
It would be fantastic.
They could definitely do some damage between the three of them.
Bobbi has a tendency to be able to put Hunter in his place, so thats always good.
Theyre adult enough that theyll be able to patch things up.
The Inhumans are an unknown variable.
The Inhumans have the potential to do good, but they also have as much potential to do bad.
Theyre very volatile and very unpredictable.
For May, that is always more of a danger than an asset.
Thats a disagreement they have.
With that said, how does May feel about the ATCU?
Thats a good question.
When she does find out about it, which she obviously will, its the same thing.
Shes not going to trust them too much.
Will we see any May and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) interaction?
First of all, I love working with Elizabeth.
I just feel like May has really become Mama May, shes become the mother hen of the group.
These are her children.
Thats Mays way of saying shes really happy.
I hope she can help her in any way to get back to her normal self.
