‘Quantum cells, flaming skulls, and androids.

Just another day at S.H.I.E.L.D.’

After being almost entirely absent from last weeks episode, Eli Morrow is all over this one.

Well find out more later, but the rig isnt exactly self-explanatory.

Outside the compound, S.H.I.E.L.D.

is plotting their raid.

Its Secret Warriors 2.0, baby!

Being rather impervious to fire, Robbie goes in next and fights his way through a few gangsters.

Fitz and Simmons realize that the trap was made out of flammable caesium.

An engineer to the core, Eli is clearly experimenting with the extent of his new Molecule Man-like powers.

He gets another chance when he finds Robbie wandering around inside his battery thing.

Robbie tries to ghost out, but Eli impales him to the wall.

Turns out a gigantic stake through your heart is a big obstacle even for Ghost Rider.

Robbies not moving anywhere for a while, which gives him and Eli some much-needed family bonding time.

Eli explains his ultimate motive.

Despite being a genius engineer and scientist, hes been marginalized his whole life.

Now look what I can do!

He showed the haters with this transformation now hes well on his way to becoming a god.

You better be, his nephew replies, because the devil is coming for you.

Fresh from reprimanding Radcliffe and asking him about the Darkhold, Mace arrives with scientist and android in tow.

Yo-Yo isnt a fan of Macks chivalry, though not when he refuses to admit his feelings.

Theyre not alone, either.

After Coulson questions Maces latest plan, the two get into a bit of a shouting match.

Of course, all these secrets are connected.

Instead, he has gangsters bring in Coulson, who they just found wandering around with a chain.

Eli is surprised that Coulsons alive, which indicates he doesnt fully understand the nature of his transformation.

Finally, Robbie has the chance to ghost out.

This plan is complicated a bit when a gangster runs in and shoots AIDA.

Despite the blood and pain, shes actually fine.

And what AIDA understands now is that pain really hurts.

Ghost Rider has other plans, though.

Together, they disappear along with the battery/bomb.

The aftershocks of the quantum magic are too much for a suffering Daisy, however.

She runs outside and catapults herself into the air.

Like most Mace moves, this hits multiple birds with one stone.

He officially sucks Daisy into his S.H.I.E.L.D.

He hasnt counted out Ghost Rider yet.

For now, the two of them have some quality bonding time.

Yeah, right, Daisy laughs.

Maybe in the comic book version.

Over the past two weeks, Mack and Yo-Yo have really been put through the ringer.

Luckily, this episode ends not with a hokey kiss but with some good ol-fashioned robot murder.

The secret shes protecting?

A knocked-out Agent May.

Thats right the Melinda May currently having her long-awaited bottle-opening moment with Coulson is not the real May.

Shes a robot replacement.

I blame the Darkhold.

For a climactic plotline-ending episode, The Laws of Inferno Dynamics didnt really feel that epic.
