Pally will assume the lead role of Dan, a brainy computer science professor at a small college who is not liked by his students or colleagues, as his impressive intelligence is perceived as offputting.

He invents time travel as a way of getting a fresh start, and methodically uses stolen music, movie lines, and popular culture to great acclaim in the past, where people find him interesting, dashing and gallant.

The 20th Century Fox TV-produced pilot is being written by Julius Goldy Sharpe (The Grinder,Family Guy), who serves as an executive producer alongside Lord and Miller, who also wrote and directedThe Lego Movie.
